About: Jonalyn Fincher

Biographical:
I've been married 10 years to Dale Fincher, an old soul who makes me feel young and brilliant. Our son, Finn, is two and keeps us aware that our world is not something we control.
I love loud instrumental music, snowshoeing, learning to bake at high altitudes and reading in quiet nooks. Favorite movie today is “Strictly Ballroom”, favorite song “You and I” by Ingrid Michaelson, favorite book "Mansfield Park". Some important things to know about me:
~ I like having crazy curly hair most days.
~ We live in an aspen forest where we hear and see mountain lion, bears and elk.
~ If I could read and write and cook all day I think I’d be happy for months.
~ I wrestle with packing in too much into each day.
~ Finn is re-teaching me about how to play, the kind that makes you laugh really loud.
~ I play piano when I'm feeling high and low.
~ My favorite time of day is sunrise.
In case you wanted a serious side of this bio:
Seven years ago I co-founded Soulation (soulation.org), a non-profit dedicated to helping others become more appropriately human. Dale and I work as a national speaking/writing team. We recently co-authored our first book together, Coffee Shop Conversations: Making the Most of Spiritual Small Talk.
I’ve written regularly on my personal blog blending women and spirituality (RubySlippers.org) for five years. I co-author a blog on women and friendship with a female psychologist (LetMeBeMe.org). My first book, Ruby Slippers: How the Soul of a Woman Brings Her Home, unearths the unique qualities of a woman’s soul.
