Biographical:

Martha Byrne thinks Flannery O’Connor could be a long-lost relative because she writes: “I come from a family where the only emotion respectable to show is irritation. In some this tendency produces hives, in others literature, in me both.” While the hives are under control, Martha (and her family for that matter) wouldn’t trade literature for anything. Delighting in stories, Martha reads them, edits them, writes them, and watches them play out in real life and on screen. Her hometown of Portland, OR is the perfect climate for such activities! In an effort to be well-rounded she also enjoys golfing in the summer, is a loyal Portland Trail Blazers fan in the winter, and all year round she works in student life at a Christian university.
