Savor: Recipes for Enjoying the Bible
There’s something that all good food has in common. It takes time. Care. Greens delicately picked and carefully washed. Slow cooked ribs slathered with sauce and placed on the smoker. A cake baked and cooled and frosted.
Few people would list a microwaved dinner as their “favorite dish.”
So, what if you had a “recipe” for enjoying the Bible again? It’s a given that this recipe should take a little time: time away from your routine, time to enjoy Scripture in new ways.
Imagine mixing indoor sermons with outdoor prayer walks, singing under the stars, and listening to the Scriptures under the swaying aspen. Can you imagine savoring Scripture during a week like this?
Will you join us?
*Please note that $99 deposit is non-refundable. Remaining balance of $286 due on August 2. Lodging and meals are not included in the conference price.

What’s a “Living Room Conference”?
Soulation creates safe, healthy places to discuss the hard questions and celebrate the good gifts of God. The Soulation community regularly meets online — and it works well! But this isn’t the same as being in same room together.
We know more about each other during a hike through White Woods. We learn how to love better hearing each other’s stories around the campfire. We have freedom to laugh out loud (not just type LOL) after watching the nuanced way someone told a joke. There’s something unique about sharing the same physical space. And we want to make that a reality this Fall.
The Living Room Conferences moves us from cyber space to the Fincher’s living room. And if the nights are chilly, you’ll be warmed by the same fireplace you saw in the Soulation videos.
What’s included?
Our list of activities are growing as we plan. These activities will be included in the *$385 registration fee (registrants will receive a full schedule of events):
- Guided hikes through White Woods
- Living Room talks with Dale and Jonalyn
- Scenic morning prayer walks
- Open mic time to share art, Scripture reading, and more
- Campfire under the stars
- Optional workshops:
- Watercoloring in White Woods with Dana Ross (@congruity)
- How to Make Scripture Come Alive with Dale Fincher
- Private dinner reception for Gold and Platinum Partners
*Please note that lodging and meals are not included in the conference price.
Where is the conference held?
Most of our meetings will be held at Dale and Jonalyn Fincher’s home in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. We can’t wait for you to experience Autumn in our town, famous for olympic skiers, easy-to-difficult biking trails, hiking, natural hot springs, ranches, restaurants, and countless amenities. We’ve planned our conference dates for peak Autumn color. You’ll be here just in time to see the aspen and oak dress in their brightest yellows, oranges, and reds. Dale often says that walking the autumn trails in White Woods is like walking on streets of gold.
Steamboat Springs is 30 minutes from the Yampa Valley Regional Airport (HDN). Driving from Denver International Airport (DEN) takes between 3 and 4 hours on most days — the scenic drive is breathtaking! Grab a rental car or take a shuttle service from either airport. Find out more about shuttle service at Alpine Taxi (goalpine.com/dia).
